A notification has also been released about this, which has come into effect from July 20 .. The biggest change has been made with advertising. If any company now makes claims in advertisements or misleads customers, then strict action will be taken against them. According to the new Act, now the name of the District Forum has been changed to District Commission.

केंद्र सरकार ने उपभोक्ताओं को बड़ी राहत दी है। जिसके तहत उपभोक्ता संरक्षण अधिनियम के कई प्रावधानों में बदलाव किया गया है। इसको लेकर नोटिफिकेशन भी जारी हो गया है, जो 20 जुलाई से लागू हो गया है.. इसमें सबसे बड़ा बदलाव विज्ञापन को लेकर किया गया है। अगर अब कोई भी कंपनी विज्ञापन में दावे करेगी या फिर ग्राहकों को गुमराह करेगी, तो उसके खिलाफ कड़ी कार्रवाई की जाएगी।नए अधिनियम के मुताबिक अब जिला फोरम का नाम बदलकर जिला आयोग कर दिया गया है।
