Countdown to Camp: Can Jeff Thomas or Damiere Byrd Replace Phillip Dorsett?

While there may not be many star-studded names on the New England Patriots' depth chart at wide receiver, there could be a training camp battle between a couple of first-year Patriots. Phillip Dorsett was a very trustworthy, speedy target and New England is looking for someone to fill that void. Damiere Byrd is a four-year NFL veteran who has been plagued by injuries often in his career. Jeff Thomas is a rookie, undrafted free agent with off the field issues but redeeming athleticism.
