Hardeep Singh Puri said that the privatization of Air India is necessary, and the government is working in this direction. The minister said that all airline companies are sending workers on leave without leaving, because this is their compulsion. The government is not in a position to provide huge financial help to airlines.

लॉकडाउन की मार सबसे ज्यादा एअर लाइंस कंपनियों पर पड़ी है. आर्थिक संकट से जूझ रही कंपनियां खर्च कम करने के लिए नए-नए तरीके ढूंढ रही हैं. अब एअर इंडिया ने कर्मचारियों की संख्या कम करने का प्लान बनाया है.. हरदीप सिंह पुरी ने बताया कि एअर इंडिया का निजीकरण जरूरी है, और सरकार इस दिशा में काम कर रही है. मंत्री ने कहा कि विदाउट पे कर्मचारियों को लीव पर सभी एयरलाइंस कंपनियां भेज रही हैं, क्योंकि ये उनकी मजबूरी है. सरकार उस स्थिति में नहीं है कि एयरलाइंस कंपनियों को बड़ी आर्थिक मदद कर सके.
