Hundreds protest after opposition candidates barred from running in Belarus election

Hundreds took to streets of Minsk on Tuesday (July 14) after two opposition candidates were not allowed to register for the upcoming presidential election.

Valery Tsepkalo and Viktor Babaryko are seen as the main rivals of President Alexander Lukashenko.

Footage filmed in the capital shows police detaining protesters and motorists honking in support of the protests.
