An over 700-year-old pavilion surprisingly withstood numerous floods on the Yangtze River in central China.

In the video, filmed in the city of Ezhou in Hubei Province on July 14, the ancient Guanyin Pavilion which dates back to the Song Dynasty in the 13th century, was seen standing in the middle of the overflowing river.

Guanyin Pavilion is called "the first pavilion on Yangtze River".

According to the local cultural relics experts, the movable objects inside the pavilion has been transported away, while the windows and doors of the pavilion are opened to help reduce the impact of the floods.
