Lost puppy found his way to Thai vet where staff recognises him

A lost puppy was saved after remembering his way to the vets where staff recognised him.
The five-month-old Thai Ridgeback named Kiew Ngern sparked concern when it disappeared from its house in Samut Prakan, Thailand, last Tuesday lunchtime (July 7).
Staff at the local vets around a mile away - and separated by several busy roads - were baffled when the pooch started scratching at their door later that evening at 8pm.
They let the dog in and one of the team recognised him from several appointments for vaccine shots.
They then checked their records and called the owner, who had been frantically driving round the neighbourhood looking for him.
Veterinarian Seangduen Chotipanus said: "Nobody knew why there was a stray good standing at the door trying to get inside.
''We brought him in and one of the assistant's recognised him. They said his name was Kiew Ngern. He appeared happy when we brought him inside. I then looked for his records and called his owner to take him back home."
Staff called restaurant manager Sunee Banwara, 63, who rushed to the Phuttharaksa Veterinary clinic. She said Kiew Ngern had been missing all day.
Sunee said that Kiew Ngern had been taken to the vets several times since he was born in order to receive vaccinations.
Having become lost, he then remembered the location and made its way there instead of trying to return home.
Relieved owner Sunee said her and staff from her restaurant had been desperately searching for the dog in surrounding streets.
She said: "We realised that my dog was missing from the group and immediately started calling out for him. When he didn't come running back, everyone began driving around the streets to find him.
"I think my puppy could not find the way back home, but he remembered where his favorite clinic was. I'm glad that Kiew Ngern was smart enough to go somewhere safe.''
