The Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe various aspects of the slain history-sheeter Vikas Dubey, cases registered against him and his alleged links. According to reports, the SIT has been constituted under the chairmanship of UP Additional Chief Secretary Sanjay Bhoosreddy to investigate the Kanpur incident, in which eight policemen were killed in an ambush on the night of July 3.

कानपुर में आठ पुलिसकर्मियों की हत्या में शामिल दुर्दांत अपराधी विकास दुबे के एनकाउंटर के बाद उत्तर प्रदेश की योगी सरकार ने उसका कच्चा चिट्ठा खोलने और उसके सहयोगियों को बेनकाब करने के लिए एसआईटी का गठन किया है। अपर मुख्य सचिव संजय भूसरेड्डी की अध्यक्षता में गठित की गई एसआइटी में एडीजी हरिराम शर्मा और डीआईजी जे. रविन्द्र गौड़ भी शामिल हैं एसआईटी के जरिए घटना से जुड़े विभिन्न मामलों की जांच की जाएगी. साथ ही 31 जुलाई 2020 तक एसआईटी को जांच रिपोर्ट शासन को सौंपनी होगी.
