A man from Cincinnati, Ohio rescued a tiny mouse that was trapped in a water-filled trash can in his garden after it was heard "screaming for help."

Footage from July 9 shows that rescue and release of the small rodent, where the filmer, Justin, puts the can onto its side and the screaming mouse scampers away.

Justin told Newsflare: "This little guy got trapped in a trash can filled with water and was screaming for help."

He said online that's didn't know if it was an opossum or rat as he "never seen one of these guys."

"Glad this screamy guy is OK." He added.
