Nine public housing apartment blocks around Melbourne went into hard lockdown on Saturday, (July 4) for at least five days due to an outbreak of coronavirus, as seen in this drone footage.

As of 11:59 pm on July 3, the lockdown was eased on most of the 3,000 residents.

The public housing tower at 33 Alfred Street remains under strict quarantine after about a quarter of residents tested positive for COVID-19.
