BCCI President and former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly addressed the concerns over India's performance overseas. Ganguly talked about India's loss in the Test series in New Zealand in March. The side, led by Virat Kohli, faced a 2-0 whitewash at the hands of hosts. Stressing on the importance of winning on the road, Ganguly said the team needs to win away and also added that players need to be given longer rope for them to perform, something he feels is happening now.

बीसीसीआई के प्रेसिडेंट सौरव गांगुली विराट कोहली एन्ड कम्पनी से नाखुश हैं. रवि शास्त्री के कामों से वो खुश हैं नहीं. जिस तरीके से भारतीय टीम का प्रदर्शन विदेशों में होता रहा है. उससे सौरव गांगुली खुश नहीं हैं. यही वजह है कि हाल ही में एक इंटरव्यू में उन्होंने विदेशी दौरों पर भारत के खराब प्रदर्शन के बारे में बातें की है. गांगुली ने कहा कि आपको बाहर अच्छा खेलना होगा, लेकिन वो ऐसा नहीं कर रहे हैं और ये बात छुपी हुई नहीं है. जब मैं कप्तान था तब कितना अच्छा खेलता था इस आधार पर मुझे आंका जाता था और विदेश में भी ऐसा ही था. मैं विराट, रवि शास्त्री व टीम के अन्य खिलाड़ियों से बात करूंगा और बाहर अच्छा प्रदर्शन करने में इनकी मदद करूंगा.
