A wild boar was captured after escaping from a farm and terrorising drivers in Thailand.

The dirty hog was seen charging at cars before taking refuge in a bush in Samut Prakan province on July 6.

Animal handlers arrived and spent two hours chasing the animal before eventually pouncing on it and bundling it into a cage.

Motorcycle rider Pornchai Pn said he swerved to avoid the boar then watched as it ran towards a shopping mall.

Pornchai said: "I saw the boar trying to cross the road, which I knew was dangerous. It looked tired and it was at risk of being hit by a car, so I chased it away from the road to try and save it.''

The boar was later adopted by a generous local after the owner could not be traced.
