Sourav Ganguly has stated they would like to host the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) this year and their first priority is to host the tournament within the country itself. There have been reports of the IPL shifting out of India considering the virus threat that is raging on in the country presently. Ganguly, however, stated their first priority will be to host the tournament in India before looking out for venues on foreign shores.

बीसीसीआई प्रेसिडेंट सौरव गांगुली ने आईपीएल को लेकर बड़ा बयान दिया है. सौरव गांगुली ने कहा है कि इस साल दर्शकों को आईपीएल देखने को मिलेगा. बीसीसीआइ के बॉस गांगुली ने इस बात की पुष्टि कर दी है कि आइपीएल भारत में ही खेला जाएगा. अभी तक खबरें आ रही थीं कि आइपीएल 2020 का आयोजन विदेश में हो सकता है. खुद सौरव गांगुली भी ये कबूल कर चुके थे कि लीग को विदेशी सरजमीं पर भी आयोजित किया जा सकता है. गौरतलब है कि 8 जुलाई को गांगुली अपना जन्मदिन मनाते हैं और अपने बर्थडे के मौके पर उन्होंने बड़ा ऐलान किया है. जिसकी वजह से फैंस के लिए थोड़ी राहत की खबर है.
