Wuhan raises flood alert level as severe rainfall batters China

Over the last few weeks Wuhan, the Chinese city at the centre of the COVID-19 outbreak, has been battered by heavy rainfall and thunderstorms. Authorities have raised the emergency flood response from Level III to Level II and more severe weather is expected.
