Two tests were suspended in an eastern Chinese county due to flash floods on the first day of the country's annual university entrance exam.

The video, filmed in She County in Anhui Province and provided by local media with permission, shows assault boats, canoe and diggers dropping off students and teachers through flooded streets at the exam centres.

According to reports, only 500 out of 3,000 candidates arrived at the two exam centres on July 7, when the Chinese subject test started.

In the afternoon, the Chinese and Mathematics' tests had been suspended. But the English test will be held normally on Wednesday (July 8). Specific arrangements will be sent to candidates in time.
