Sawan Somvar 2020: इस शिव मंदिर में शिवलिंग पर महमूद गजनवी ने खुदवा दिया था कलमा | वनइंडिया हिंदी

Historical belief is that when Mahmud Ghaznavi attacked India, he crossed the limits of cruelty. He looted Hindustan whole and went to destroy the temples. There is also a Shiva temple in Gorakhpur, which has been telling the story of its cruelty for centuries. Mahmud Ghaznavi left. But, when he could not break the Shivling built in this Shiva temple, Kalma was dug on him. The intention with which he had dug the Kalma on the Shivling was not fulfilled. Shiva devotees still come here for worship and water with prayers.

ऐतिहासिक मान्‍यता है कि महमूद गजनवी ने जब भारत पर आक्रमण किया, तो उसने क्रूरता की हदें पार कर दी. उसने हिन्‍दुस्‍तान को जी-भरकर लूटा और मंदिरों को ध्‍वस्‍त कर चला गया. गोरखपुर में भी एक ऐसा शिव मंदिर है, जो सदियों से उसकी क्रूरता की दास्‍तान बयां कर रहा है. महमूद गजनवी तो चला गया. लेकिन, जब वो इस शिव मंदिर में बने शिवलिंग को तोड़ नहीं पाया, तो उस पर कलमा खुदवा दिया. उसने जिस मंशा से शिवलिंग पर कलमा खुदवाया था, वो पूरी नहीं हुई. शिवभक्‍त आज भी यहां पर पूजा-पाठ के साथ जल और दुग्‍धाभिषेक के लिए आते हैं.
