Lord Shiva Shankar is so naive that if a devotee is pleased by accepting whatever he offers to him with reverence. Many take their name from the true mind, then they fulfill all the wishes of the devotees. When Parvati worshiped Shiva for the attainment of Shiva, she used to offer leaves of other tree plants in addition to Bel Patra on Shivling, at that time the month of Savan was going on. Shivji gives the boon of childless children happy by offering leaves of this tree. Therefore, in Savan, Shivji can be pleased not only with bilva patra but also with these leaves.

भगवान शिवशंकर इतने भोले हैं कि श्रद्धा से अगर कोई भक्त जो कुछ भी उनको अर्पित करते हैं उसे स्वीकार कर प्रसन्न हो जाते हैं । कई उनका सच्चे मन से नामभर लेता हैं तो वे भक्तों की सभी मनोकामना पूरी कर देते हैं । शिव की प्राप्ति के लिए जब पार्वती ने शिवजी की आराधना की थी तो वे शिवलिंग पर बेल पत्र के अलाया अन्य पेड़ पौधों के पत्ते भी चढ़ाती थी, उस समय सावन माह ही चल रहा था । इस पेड़ के पत्ते चढ़ाने पर प्रसन्न होकर निसंतानों को संतान प्राप्ति का वरदान देते हैं शिवजी । इसलिए सावन में शिवजी को केवल बिल्व पत्र से ही नहीं इन पत्तों से भी प्रसन्न किया जा सकता हैं ।
