I treated myself to a 5 Star Hotel in Marrakech. My Room Review , Sofitel Lounge & Spa

Im not sure what your perceptions of Marrakech are ? and you know what in some way if you visit you will find places where all are true.
If you said an abundance of 5 Star Hotels well you are right about that. If you are looking for a 5 Star Hotel in Marrakech you will not be disappointed.
Infact Marrakech is home to lierally dozens of 5 star luxury hotels and while I have visited many for cocktails, dinner, pool days and even for a polo match.

I have only stayed at one, well in a way 2. The Sofitel Marrakech Imperial Palace. Which has a sister 5 Star Hotel attached to it. The Sofitel Lounge and Spa.

I have stayed at both and there maybe subtle difference in the experience. I honestly cant really tell you what they are.

Service is 5 Star in both. Amenities again 5 Star in both, infact most of the amenites such as pools, restaurants, and including The Spa itself is shared.
The only difference I have really seen is different receptions for check in... Though saying that on this visit I checked in at The Lounge Spa Check in and when I went to check out I was asked to go to the Imperial Palace reception to check out ! ( Literally 150ft away, I think it was so I had no delay at the Spa reception which was busy )

So why do I pick the Sofitel when I am treating myself to luxury in Marrakech ? When the options include Fairmont, Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental and more, including La Mamounia ( often voted the best hotel in the world ! which I have often visited for drinks and once for a pool day )
Simple I have a Platinum Loyalty Card with Accor, which gets me an upgrade to a Suite ( usually ) Free drinks, early check in and late check out and that wonderful Sofitel VIP status that the card brings.

Wherever you choose in Marrakech. I hope you have a wonderful trip.

Happy Travels
