국회, 오늘 본회의 열어 35조 원 대 추경안 처리

South Korea's National Assembly is set to handle the country's largest-ever supplementary budget proposal ,... the third of its kind since COVID-19 pandemic turned the economy on its head.
The close to 30 billion dollar plan was submitted by the government in an effort to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
On Thursday, the assembly's Budget Coordination Committee finished its review.
The committee is hoping to finalize it later this Friday and put it up for a full floor vote.
The passage of the budget isn't likely to be endorsed by rival political parties,... as the main opposition United Future Party has said it will not take part in the plenary session after it ditched the budget-review process.
The two parties have been at odds for a month over the distribution of standing committee chairs.
Despite the boycott, the ruling party plans to push ahead and pass the budget before June's extraordinary session ends on Saturday.
