Twitter's Mislabels Useful Tweets About Coronavirus As They Try To Stop The Spread Of Misinformation

Twitter is trying to stop the spread of misinformation about COVID-19 but have hit a few bumps. According to Gizmodo, the platform is labeling tweets with false information, such as those claiming there is a cure. Particular tweets being labeled surround conspiracy theories about 5G spreading the virus. Twitter users then noticed that the company was flagging any tweets with “5G,” “oxygen,” and “frequency.” Yet many of those tweets weren’t about conspiracy theories and were trying to debunk false information.
