A poisonous cobra was pulled out from under the seat of a bike, on which two men rode and travelled a distance of 20 kilometres (12 miles) before detecting it, in central India’s Madhya Pradesh.

The incident occurred on June 26, in Indore city.

According to local reports, the two men were from Indore and were riding back from Simrol after a day’s work in the jungle on the bike.

The men reported that the bike was facing some issues on the journey as well, and when they stopped after riding for about 20 long kilometres, they realised the snake was hiding underneath the bike seat.

As soon as they detected the cobra, the riders parked the bike and ran away.

Onlookers informed the Indore Municipal Corporation about the snake, and rescuers were sent in immediately.

Footage shows the rescuer tackling the snake from under the seat, using a snake hook and placing it inside a container, which the snake manages to escape and is caught again and finally placed securely inside the container.
