The Cubs Go All the Way - Chicago Cubs Theme Song - Frank Lamphere 2021

"The Cubs Go All the Way" is an original song written and recorded by crooner Frank Lamphere. The tune was conceived and penned in 2012 prior to Frank performing in a baseball themed show in New York. The initial lyrics were based on the New York Mets, but modifed in 2014 for Lamphere's hometown team, the Chicago Cubs. The tune was given a "face-lift" after it's initial unreleased studio recording in 2019.

A highly energetic, swingin' baseball song from singer Frank Lamphere; whose childhood dream (like ten million other kids) was to be a major leaguer. Among Frank's baseball heros were: Reggie Jackson, Dave Kingman, Goose Gossage and Willie Stargell.

The Cubs Go All the Way (lyrics & music) Frank Lamphere

Count on, plenty of high fiving

To a pennant they'll be driving

And the Cubs Go All the Way

Our starter's fastball will be burning

Double plays they'll be turning

And the Cubs Go All the Way

Now this rival team you see

Will go down like one-two-three

We're going to show them what defense is all about

A pop-up caught behind the plate

Their all-star slugger who swung late

And crowd roar when the umpire yells "You’re Out!"

Then they'll have to face our hitters

Their staff best have the jitters

And the Cubs Go All the Way

Homers hit to upper decks

When our cleanup man connects

And the Cubs Go All the Way

This team seems truly on a mission

And the very definition

Of a ball club, that really has a chance

Us fans will hardly keep from grinning

In September we keep winning

And then we take first place to stay

And the Cubs Go All the Way!

Additional verse:

It'll be no laughing matter

When they have to face our batters

And the Cubs Go All the Way

Scoring runs and stealing bases

Line drives hit to open spaces

And the Cubs Go All the Way
