Australia limited-overs captain Aaron Finch has already started planning out his team's ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 campaign. The next 50-over World Cup is scheduled to take place in India two and the half years from now. On the 2023 event in India, Aaron Finch said: “In the 50-over space it’s about working back from that 2023 World Cup and really getting a detailed plan of how we think we’ll have to win it, what’s the structure of the side we’ll need in India."

2023 में विश्वकप भारत में खेला जाएगा. बड़ा विश्वकप है. इससे पहले भी एक विश्वकप भारत में खेला जाएगा, पर वो टी20 विश्वकप होगा. पर ऑस्ट्रेलिया का प्लान टी20 विश्वकप पर नहीं है. मतलब है भी लेकिन अभी से ही 2023 विश्वकप को लेकर प्लान बनाना शुरू कर दिया है. क्रिकेट ऑस्ट्रेलिया ने विश्वकप को देखते हुए काम करना शुरू कर दिया है कि टीम में क्या कमजोरियां हैं और एशियाई धरती पर किन खिलाड़ियों पर दांव लगाया जा सकता है. इस बात का खुलासा खुद ऑस्ट्रेलिया के लिमिटेड ओवर फॉर्मेट के कप्तान एरोन फिंच ने किया है. ऑस्ट्रेलियाई टीम के कप्तान ने, "मैं क्रिकेट के प्रति जुनूनी हूं इसलिये इसके बारे में ही सोचता रहता हूं और ये भी दो टूर्नामेंट हैं. इनके साथ मैं भारत में 2023 में होने वाले 50 ओवर के विश्व कप के बारे में भी सोच रहा हूं."
