BCCI official said that while the ICC rules clearly state that there should be no governmental interference in the running of the game, the same also applies for cricket boards and they shouldn't interfere in the running of the government. The official then asked the PCB to provide a written guarantee that there will be no hostility at the border before asking for visa-related assurance from the Indian board.

एशिया की दो सबसे बड़ी क्रिकेट बोर्ड बीसीसीआई और पीसीबी एक बार फिर आमने- सामने आ गई है, पीसीबी ने कुछ दिनों पहले भारत के वीजा मामले पर बयान दिया था, इस मामले पर बीसीसीआई ने पाकिस्तान क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड को वीजा मामले पर करारा जवाब दिया है। बोर्ड ने कहा है कि वीजा लेने से पहले पाकिस्तान आतंकवाद खत्म करने की गारंटी दे। इससे पहले पीसीबी ने आईसीसी से कहा था कि वह बीसीसीआई से लिखित आश्वासन ले कि उसकी टीम को भारत में 2021 टी20 विश्व कप और 2023 में होने वाले 50 ओवर के विश्व कप में खेलने के लिए वीजा हासिल करने में किसी समस्या का सामना नहीं करना पड़ेगा।
