25 June 1975 is a black date in the history of Indian democracy. On the same day, at the behest of the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, then President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed declared a state of emergency in the country. Today it has passed 45 years. The BJP has always targeted the Congress for this. On the 45th anniversary of the BJP, the BJP tweeted and wrote, 'The black misdeeds of the Congress and the saddest chapter of Indian democracy 25 June 1975 Every voice raised in protest against the Emergency .

भारतीय लोकतंत्र के इतिहास में 25 जून 1975 एक काली तारीख है। इसी दिन तत्कालीन प्रधानमंत्री इंदिरा गांधी के कहने पर तत्कालीन राष्ट्रपति फखरूद्दीन अली अहमद ने देश में आपातकाल की घोषणा की थी। आज इसे 45 साल बीत चुके हैं। इसे लेकर बीजेपी हमेशा कांग्रेस पर निशाना साधती रही है।आपातकालीन की 45 वीं बरसी पर बीजेपी ने ट्वीट करते हुए लिखा, 'कांग्रेस की काली करतूत और भारतीय लोकतंत्र के सबसे दुःखद अध्याय 25 जून 1975 आपातकाल के विरोध में उठे हर स्वर का हृदय से वंदन।'
