Enormous 'Godzilla Dust Cloud'
Heading to the US Gulf Coast According to Accuweather, the cloud is
journeying thousands of miles over the
Atlantic Ocean from the Sahara Desert. It is not uncommon for Sahara dust
to travel far, but this occurrence is
one of the largest in decades. AccuWeather's
Dan Kottlowski Accuweather explains that the phenomenon is
hampering tropical development in the ocean. AccuWeather's
Alan Reppert This Thursday, the dust is
forecasted to reach the coast of Texas. Kottlowski predicts that the state's eastern part
will soon release weak air quality reports. He adds that the dust will also
spread across the whole Gulf Coast. At that time, it could become a
health hazard after combining
with smoke or other dust particles. Issues may arise for those with
respiratory health problems. AccuWeather's
