Inside the Seattle anti-racism protest zone after weekend’s deadly shooting

Anti-racism protesters in Seattle have occupied an area and called it the Capitol Hill Organized Protest (CHOP) or the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ), after police abandoned the East Precinct station in early June. Peacefulness prevailed during the day but protesters are on high alert as a boy was shot dead and two were injured over the past weekend.
