Watch the flag being presented for Armed Forces Day 2020

A procession steped off from West Parliament Square across the High Street with the Armed Forces Flag into the City Chambers quadrangle where it was met by the Lord Provost. The flag was taken indoors and raised from the roof of the City Chambers on the Royal Mile in Edinburgh

The procession will consist of: a Piper, LCpl Bell, Legion Scotland National Colours (Geoff Williams and David Cutler), one escort (Tony Hooman) and Tom Douglas, who will carry the flag. The procession will be met by the Lord Provost, Frank Ross.

The Flag Raising Ceremony is a national event to launch Armed Forces Day ( Saturday 27 June) to honour Armed Forces personnel past, present and future.
