Footage shows a new shopping mall outlet which opened today (June 19) next to the Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok, Thailand.

Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok is a joint venture between Siam Piwat and Simon Property Group.

Owners claim the outlet will offer shoppers savings of up to 70 per cent on global luxury goods, international and local fashion, sportswear, leather goods and other items from leading local shops.

Brands being sold there include Burberry, Balenciaga, Bally, Breitling, Coach, Furla, Hugo Boss, Kate Spade New York, Montblanc and Adidas.

Michael Tang, managing director of Siam Piwat Simon Co., said: ''Siam Premium Outlets Bangkok will be an economic driver for the Thai economy; the centre will create over 1,000 career opportunities.''

The mall is the latest sprawling shopping complex in Bangkok, which has seen a stunning transformation into a high-end shopping destination in Southeast Asia that attracts Chinese tourists from China.

However, critics have complained that the urbanisation has dramatically altered the landscape and added to the sinking and subsidence of Bangkok due to the number of high rise building.
