Miss Cartwright is hired to be the new governess to young Pamela. Cartwright immediately dismisses Pamela's beloved nanny, Mrs. Murphy, and finds a punishment room for the child in the basement. Strange and ominous things begin to happen that can only be explained as psychic phenomena.
