This tea-loving elephant stops for a refreshment in central India's Madhya Pradesh.

Footage from Ratlam, on June 18, shows the thirsty elephant stop in front of the shop while the shop owner offers the animal a cup of tea. The elephant opens its mouth while the owner empties the cup.

The happy elephant then trumpets before setting off on its way.

According to local reports, the elephant's name is Gajraj and come to the tea shop every morning, hoping for a drink.

Reports suggest the elephant consistently arrives at 8 am, waiting stubbornly for its fix.

Other shop keepers in the vicinity have tried to offer the elephant tea from their shop, however, the gentle animal has politely refused and reported back to his favourite tea spot.
