Pandemic: If You Dare To Fly, You're Going To Do It Dry
  • 4 years ago
It's virtually impossible to observe strict social distancing if you're on a commercial flight, particularly because the flight crew has to pass through the aisles.
According to Gizmodo, airlines have begun to change their in-flight service practices, including doing away with wine and beer.
JetBlue Airways now offers passengers sealed plastic bags containing a bottle of water and two snacks.
In March, Hawaiian Airlines suspended alcoholic beverage sales in the main cabin and reduced drink offerings to those served in cans or bottles.
A spokesperson for the airline said the policy was still in place “as part of a broader effort to reduce interactions onboard the aircraft.”
Finally, both Delta Air Lines and Southwest Airlines have suspended their alcohol offerings across all cabins.
