Winds of the South | Sonata
'Winds of the South' - A short musical sonata reflects on triangular 'Transatlantic Slavery' in the early 16th century which accounts for the major development of the western economy. It gives a depiction of how African slaves were treated and left in great anguish at the time, and prayed for the liberation of their souls to God. They created songs and sang hymns in plantation fields pledging God for their freedom and for their newcomers not to go through what they were going through. But their destiny of death was only to arrive at a given time.

Eventually, slavery was abolished in 1833 during the Victorian monarch, and slave owners were compensated for their losses. The African slaves never received a penny but they won their freedom.

However, the sadness still remains in our minds and hearts today and they'll be remembered by generations to come.
