Germany- Thousands of BLM protesters rally against racism in Leipzig
Thousands of protesters decrying police brutality and taking a stand against racism rallied on the streets of Leipzig on Sunday, joining 'Black Lives Matter' demonstrations around the world.

Protesters holding signs and banners were seen flocking to the city's Market Square, where speeches were held, and chants repeating "black lives matter" and "no justice no peace" were shouted out loud. Demonstrators heading towards Leipzig's Federal court were also recorded on camera before they raised their fists in the air.

Protests sparked by George Floyd's death at the hands of police in Minneapolis have been taking place since May, 26 in the US and around the world.

George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, was killed during an arrest in Minneapolis on May 25, after officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes despite Floyd saying he couldn't breathe.
