In a heartwarming incident, an injured monkey arrived at the doorstep of a hospital hoping to get treated in southern India's Karnataka.

The incident took place at Patil Hospital in Dandeli of Uttara Kannada district on June 5.

The video shows a monkey patiently waiting at the entrance of the hospital while medical personnel examines it for injuries.

According to reports, the monkey was injured and was desperately waiting for treatment at the hospital.

Following this, the monkey was taken inside and the staff members treated him for the injuries.

With encouragement pouring in for the doctors and staff for helping the animal, it is also remarkable how intelligent the species are and they know exactly where to go for help.

Other sources suggest, langurs are quick learners and must have seen the local residents going to the hospital after being injured, and was merely just imitating humans.
