A large amount of water burst out of a penstock after it was broken by a collapsed slope at a hydropower station in southern China.

The video, shot in the city of Shaoguan in Guangdong Province on June 9, shows a huge amount of water spraying into the sky from a burst penstock caused by a nearby landslide.

Because of the rainstorm, there was a landslide on a slope next to the hydropower station, which damaged the penstock.

One worker at the hydropower station had minor injuries and was sent to the health centre to clean his wounds. Other people who got trapped in the station were evacuated to the safety area.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
