A 13-foot long cobra was released back into the wild after being caught sneaking through a local's house in southern Thailand.

The wild serpent was seen inside the property in Krabi province.

Footage from a reptile handler shows Panya, an expert snake catcher, carrying a sack with the king cobra that is about to be released in the jungle.

Panya and the team released the snake out of the bag which calmly slithered away into the vegetation.

He said: "We are a reptile rescue team, we save both residents and animals. When we do not harm the serpents, they will not harm humans."
