Cebu City police chase down anti-terror bill protestors in UP Cebu campus

Students and members of youth groups holding a protest against the approval of anti-terror bill scurry to shelter in UP Cebu after police officers moved to disperse them and detained at least 7 rally participants.

The College Editors Guild of the Philippines Cebu says UP Cebu guards were seen helping with the dispersal.

In the video, a student activist questions the authorities “kinsa man imong gina-protektahan?” (Who are you protecting?) He also asks them why they are running after activists inside the campus.

An agreement between UP and the Department of National Defense prohibits entry of military inside the university’s campus without proper coordination with the UP police and the school administration.
