George Floyd Protests: Thousands Rally in Los Angeles

Demonstrators lined the streets in Los Angeles protesting the police brutality in the wake of George Floyd's killing. Protestors gathered on Beverly Blvd in the Fairfax District, shutting down traffic. Other demonstrators converged taking over the intersection of Third Street and Fairfax Avenue. Officials were out in full force across the city trying to hold the peace while multiple protests were being held. Amid a global pandemic, Floyd's killing has made headlines around the world. Thousands flocked to the protests with signs, gloves and masks in tow. While some protests have been peaceful, others have turned violent - nationwide. Gov. Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency over rioting in Los Angeles, and has since activated the National Guard in an attempt to keep the peace. Germany Kent reports in Los Angeles.
