Bank of Korea to announce revised economic outlook amid COVID-19 pandemic

The Bank of Korea is expected to slash its growth outlook for the South Korean economy this year to the zero percent range due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
This is in line with remarks made by the central bank's governor last month,... when he said it would be difficult for South Korea to achieve one percent growth,... although the economy could still maintain a degree of growth and avoid contraction.
The revision,... which will be significantly different from its forecast of 2-point-1 percent in February,... is expected Thursday along with its decision on interest rates.
Pundits expect the BOK to freeze the rate at an all-time low of point-75 percent.
