Vinayak Damodar Savarkar was a frontline fighter and a fierce nationalist leader of the Indian independence movement. He is often referred to as Swatantryaveer , Veer Savarkar . Great credit goes to Savarkar for developing the political ideology ( Hindutva ) of the Hindu nation . He was not only a fiery fighter of freedom struggle, but also a great revolutionary, thinker, accomplished writer, poet, brilliant orator and visionary politician. He is also a historian who has scripted the history of the victory of the Hindu nation in an authentic manner.

विनायक दामोदर सावरकर भारतीय स्वतन्त्रता आन्दोलन के अग्रिम पंक्ति के सेनानी और प्रखर राष्ट्रवादी नेता थे। उन्हें प्रायः स्वातंत्र्यवीर , वीर सावरकर के नाम से सम्बोधित किया जाता है। हिन्दू राष्ट्र की राजनीतिक विचारधारा (हिन्दुत्व) को विकसित करने का बहुत बड़ा श्रेय सावरकर को जाता है। वे न केवल स्वाधीनता-संग्राम के एक तेजस्वी सेनानी थे अपितु महान क्रान्तिकारी, चिन्तक, सिद्धहस्त लेखक, कवि, ओजस्वी वक्ता तथा दूरदर्शी राजनेता भी थे।
