The Karnataka government has changed the rules after the quarantine controversy of Union Minister Sadanand Gowda. The state government has exempted the on-duty central and state government ministers and officials from quarantine. Apart from this, those who show negative certificate of airlines crew and Kovid-19 test will also be exempted from staying in 7 days institutional quarantine.

कर्नाटक सरकार ने केंद्रीय मंत्री सदानंद गौड़ा के क्वारंटाइन विवाद के बाद नियमों में बदलाव कर दिया है. राज्य सरकार ने ऑन ड्यूटी केंद्र और राज्य सरकार के मंत्रियों एवं अधिकारियों को क्वारंटाइन से छूट दी है. इसके अलावा एयरलाइंस क्रू और कोविड-19 टेस्ट का निगेटिव सर्टिफिकेट दिखाने वाले लोगों को भी 7 दिन के इंस्टीट्यूशनल क्वारंटाइन में रहने से छूट दी जाएगी.
