The Indian Air Force (IAF) will operationalise its No.18 Squadron at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu on May 27, equipping it with the fourth generation LCA Tejas aircraft. A PIB (Defence Wing) release here said IAF chief, Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria will operationalise the squadron "Flying Bullets" at the Sulur Air Force Station near Coimbatore on Wednesday.

लद्दाख में सीमा पर भारत-चीन सेना में चल रहे तनाव के बीच वायु सेना के प्रमुख एयर चीफ मार्शल आरकेएस भदौरिया 27 मई को एयरफोर्स की 18 स्क्वाड्रन 'फ्लाइंग बुलेट' का परिचालन शुरू करेंगे. इस कार्यक्रम का आयोजन कोयम्बटूर के पास सुलूर एयरफोर्स स्टेशन पर किया जाएगा. ये स्क्वाड्रन LCA तेजस विमान से लैस होगी. तेजस को उड़ाने वाली वायुसेना की यह दूसरी स्क्वाड्रन होगी.
