Hundreds of migrants in Mumbai, who claim that they were told by police that special trains would be arranged for them, have been sleeping on footpaths and roads near a police station in Wadala area for the last three days, triggering concerns about social distancing amid India's fight against coronavirus. Many of these migrants - left jobless due to coronavirus lockdown - claim that they had left their rented homes and packed all their belongings, hoping to go back to their villages.

एनडीटीवी की रिपोर्ट के मुताबिक, उन लोगों में महिलाएं और बच्चों भी हैं। इनका कहना है कि किस तरह से सड़क पर बैठे हैं घर में रहने पार मकान मालिक किराया मांगता है, उसका क्या करें। इन कहना है कि गांव लौटें या ना लौटें लेकिन किराए के मकान में अब नहीं जाएंगे। उत्तर प्रदेश और बिहार के लोगों की तादाद इन लोगों में ज्यादा है। इनका कहना है कि पुलिस कुछ कहती है और खबरों में कुछ और आता है। कभी कहा जाता है कि रेलगाड़ी इंतजाम हो रहा है तो कभी कहा जाता है, यहीं रहिए।
