पश्चिम बंगाल में पहले से जारी कोरोना वायरस के संकट के बीच एक और बड़ी चुनौती आई है. चक्रवाती तूफान अम्फान ने बीते दिनों जो तबाही मचाई है, ऐसी तबाही राज्य ने दशकों से नहीं देखी. प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी भी शुक्रवार को पश्चिम बंगाल पहुंचे और हेलिकॉप्टर के जरिए प्रभावित इलाकों का हवाई सर्वेक्षण किया. प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने शुरुआती तौर पर 1000 करोड़ रुपये की आर्थिक मदद का ऐलान किया है, इसके अलावा मृतकों के परिजनों के लिए मुआवजे का ऐलान किया गया है.
