The History Of Memorial Day

Memorial Day is always celebrated on the last Monday of May. Originally called Decoration Day, it commemorates the fallen heroes who died during their U.S. military service. Unofficially, it marks the beginning of the summer season. Memorial Day 2020 occurs on Monday, May 25. But due to the coronavirus pandemic, certain Memorial Day parades, traditions and ceremonies have been cancelled.
