Raccoon mother stands her ground against wildlife control in Ontario
  • 4 years ago
Wildlife technicians are confronted by an angry mother raccoon as they attempt to remove six newly born raccoons found in the garage of a Markham home, southern Ontario.

Footage from April 8, shows a wild animal removal service by Gates Wildlife Control, who gently persuade a family of raccoons to leave in a humane way.

After the wildlife technicians' first attempt, the mother raccoon sneakily hides her babies in a window well of the neighbours home.

Late in the clip, despite strong resistance from the mother raccoon, the wildlife technicians successfully place the babies on the lawn for the mother to collect and relocate.

The filmer told Newsflare: "This job took an unusual turn, which kept us on our toes. Watch to see how the mother raccoon reacted and where she took her babies."
