The Kailash temple is the world's oldest single rock carved, the multi-storeyed temple complex, that stands tall, enclosed within a big man made crater, surrounded by tons of rocks. It is situated in Ellora. Experts say that initially it was covered with white plaster completely to resemble the snow covered in the original Mount Kailash.
