In his recent visit to the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, Afridi not only made heads turn with his statement on PM Modi but also expressed his wish to lead a Kashmir team in his final year in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Addressing the gathering, Afridi had stated, "I'll make use of this opportunity and request the Pakistan Cricket Board that next time when they host the PSL, a new team with the name of Kashmir should be included in it. And I would like to lead that Kashmir team in my final year. I request the PCB that the next franchise should be called Kashmir."

कुछ दिन पहले अफरीदी पीओके गए थे, जहां उन्‍होंने न सिर्फ पीएम मोदी के खिलाफ बेहुदा बयान दिया, बल्कि एक और बयान दिया. उन्‍होंने वहां पर सबके सामने अपनी इच्‍छा जाहिर की. अफरीदी ने कहा कि वे पाकिस्‍तान सुपर लीग में अपने आखिरी साल में कश्‍मीर टीम की अगुआई करना चाहते हैं. भीड़ में अफरीदी ने कहा कि वह पाकिस्‍तान क्रिकेट बोर्ड से निवेदन करते हैं कि अगली बार जब वह पाकिस्‍तान सुपर लीग का आयोजन करें तो उसमें एक नई टीम कश्‍मीर को शामिल करना चाहिए और वह अपने आखिरी साल में इस टीम की अगुआई करना चाहेंगे. उन्‍होंने कहा कि अगर यहां स्‍टेडियम है, तब यहां क्रिकेट एकेडमी होनी चाहिए. इसके साथ-साथ उन्होंने कहा कि वो पाकिस्तान के युवा खिलाड़ियों को कराची ले जाना चाहते हैं.
