Dr. Manny Alvarez called President Trump's announcement that he's taking hydroxychloroquine "highly irresponsible."
According to Business Insider, Alvarez is a contributor on Fox News' health team.
Trump announced on Monday that he has been taking the controversial drug for 10 days.
Dr. Alvarez questioned why the president was taking the anti-malaria medication as a coronavirus prevention method.
Experts have said the drug is not proven to be an effective treatment for the coronavirus.
Dr. Alvarez also asked why the White House physician would prescribe the experimental drug.
