Former Australia captain Mark Taylor feels it will be extremely difficult for Cricket Australia and International Cricket Council (ICC) to go ahead with their flagship tournament – T20 World Cup 2020. He said it will present a fantastic opportunity for BCCI to host lucrative Indian Premier League (IPL) in that time slot. Australia have currently sealed their international borders till September 30 due to the spread of the deadly virus. Taylor said if postponed IPL is held, the travel will be a player’s individual responsibility and not his national Board’s. The former opener said if the IPL is favoured over T20 World Cup.

क्रिकेट की दुनिया से एक बड़ी खबर निकलकर सामने आ रही है. रिपोर्ट्स ये आ रही है कि इस साल होने वाले टी20 विश्वकप को अगले साल के लिए खिसकाया जा सकता है. कहा जा रहा है कि वर्ल्ड कप की जगह आईपीएल का आयोजन हो सकता है. ऐसे में अगले साल यानी 2021 में ऑस्ट्रेलिया में विश्वकप आयोजन किया जाएगा. टी20 वर्ल्‍ड कप की जगह अक्‍टूबर-नवंबर टाइम स्‍लॉट में इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग का आयोजन किया जाएगा. आईसीसी के एक सूत्र ने द टाइम्‍स से कहा कि 99 फीसदी संभावना है कि टी20 वर्ल्‍ड कप इस साल नहीं होंगे. उन्‍होंने कहा कि पहले से ही अलग विंडो की तलाश की जा रही है.
